We’re proud to have supported Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, and Actiform in delivering the new £5.2m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Walton Hospital, Chesterfield - part of a wider £29.9m investment in diagnostic services across Derbyshire.

AHP were appointed by Actiform to provide architectural services from RIBA Stages 3-7, including Stage 3 Spatial Coordination, Technical Design with preparation of the Architectural Revit Model and sub-structure coordination for the modular construction.
The CDC has been designed as a modern, accessible “one-stop shop” where patients can undergo multiple tests under one roof - including phlebotomy, ultrasound, CT, X-ray, audiology, and cardio-respiratory services. Within the first month, over 4,000 tests and scans are expected, with extended evening and weekend appointments offering greater flexibility.

AHP have successfully obtained planning permission for the Phase 2 extension, which will introduce further services such as permanent MRI and CT facilities and enable the introduction of DEXA scanning, and Children’s Audiology.
