In early May, the New Centre of Excellence was officially handed over to Centrica. The project involved the extensive fit-out of a recently completed High Bay Warehouse located in Lutterworth, with a construction phase lasting just under two years.

The state-of-the-art facility was designed to support Centrica's training and sustainability goals, featuring:

  • Training & Assessment Centre: A fully equipped space for apprentice engineers.

  • Specialist Laboratories: Dedicated areas for Net Zero initiatives, Diagnostics, and Smart Meter testing.

  • Entrance Hub: A vibrant feature entrance containing a coffee bar and modern collaboration spaces.

The project was delivered via a traditional procurement route utilising a JCT Standard Building Contract.

AHP were appointed as Architects, Lead Designers, Principal Designers (BSA) and Contract Administrators

Sustainability Achievement: The project successfully achieved a BREEAM Rating of Excellent, reflecting a high standard of environmental performance and sustainable design.
