AHP are happy to announce the completion of the state-of-the-art diagnostic and endoscopy treatment department in Central Middlesex Hospital BECaD. AHP were appointed to develop design proposals for a full refurbishment and redesign of the Endoscopy department from inception to completion, RIBA work stages 0-7.
Working closely with end-user stakeholders, we aimed to create a more efficient, free-flowing working space for staff while providing a more pleasant environment for patients through use of twelve new innovative change/recovery PODs with en-suites - giving patients their own private spaces to prepare and recover from their procedure.
The new department features five spacious treatment rooms with flexible state of the art endoscopy equipment. two with general anaesthesia provision. In addition, the new department will provide two double recovery bays with staff bases to monitor patients post procedure, a new patient waiting area with reception desk, discharge lounge facilities, staff office space and further welfare facilities, plus a bespoke modern in department scope cleaning facility.
The final addition is a new Seminar room, providing teaching and learning facilities for students and junior doctors with the capability of providing live video feed/footage provisions of Endoscopy procedures within the department.
