AHP were appointed to the Project Manager role of an exciting new development for Sevenoaks District Council. The project combines the construction of a new car park, 10 new residential townhouses and the remodelling of the adjoining landscape to recreate an attractive public amenity space.
The project addresses the urgent need for long-stay parking in central Sevenoaks and will replace the existing car parking provision. Buckhurst 2, which completed earlier this year, is a semi-submerged multi-decked car park with a total of 473 spaces, increasing the car parking provision on the site by 187 spaces. This number comprises accessible, premium, standard, motorcycle and electric spaces.
The gated mews development of 10 townhouses, which is situated to the east of the car park and overlooks the Knole Environmental Park, is currently on site with an estimated completion date of Spring 2020. A distinction between the dark brick ground floor and the light timber cladding to the upper floors, complement the car park design.
