AHP were appointed to act as architect and lead consultant on the refurbishment of the pharmacy, non-sterile manufacturing unit and the CIVAS unit at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.

The pharmacy manufacturing unit produces a number of critical clinical products in a combination of unclassified and classification D clean environments, including:

• A non-sterile manufacturing unit (NSP).

• A terminally sterilised fluids unit.

• A cytotoxic chemotherapy preparation unit.

• A centralised intravenous additive service (CIVAS).

• A clinical trials manufacturing unit.
