The Trust obtained permission to construct a new Surgical Unit on the Chase Farm site.  The site of the planned Surgical Unit was partially occupied by pathology services operating in old and inappropriate buildings.  To ensure continued local pathology support for hospital services, the Trust proposed to centralise its pathology services in a new modular building, amounting to an area of 2400m², which was strategically positioned within the existing busy site.                      AHP were appointed to develop the business case, completing an evaluation of the existing services to ensure maximum use of the available space, following on with a continuing brief to design and deliver the new pathology services building.
