Connecting Education with the World of Work

Kaya, a Year 11 student with a keen interest in architecture, first connected with our Business Development Manager, Jackie Elson, at a careers fair held at her school. Following the event, Kaya enquired about the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the architectural industry, and we were pleased to support her enthusiasm and ambition.

During her placement, Kaya has been tasked with designing a house for a specific plot of land, giving her valuable insight into the design process and the many aspects of architecture. She has been developing her skills using AutoCAD and SketchUp for 3D visualisations, alongside traditional sketching techniques.

It’s fantastic to see such passion and creativity at such a young age, and we look forward to supporting Kaya throughout her placement week.
