AHP welcomes two new Part 1 Architectural Assistants!

Updated: Dec 1, 2023

Within the last couple of months, AHP have welcomed two new Part 1 Architectural Assistants to our team. Sara, working from the Lichfield office and Thaslima, working from our Sevenoaks office.

Read more about our two new team members below.

Our new part 1 Architectural Assistant

Sara joined AHP Architects and Surveyors Limited as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, though originally from the Midlands she attended the University of Westminster to obtain her degree. Sara’s three-year course involved her first year attending the University online due to Covid restrictions with the next two years in London finalising her degree.

From taking her A Levels, Sara found interest in Graphic Design, but took this further by applying for her Architectural Part 1 degree. Whilst in London, Sara worked part time for other practices gaining experience on sectors such as Healthcare.

Sara chose AHP for her year out placement as it provides a base for her to carry out her studies and also provides training in all the RIBA work stages.

Sara is a keen avid Basketball player, playing part time for a team in Westminster. Also, she is a member of FAME (Female Architectural Minority Ethnic) Group, providing mentoring support to other women of different backgrounds and cultures in pursuing their goals within Construction and Architecture.

Our new Architectural Assistant

Thaslima graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2023 where she was awarded the RIBA East Student of the Year.

Throughout the course of her undergraduate degree, she has completed multiple internships where she has gained valuable experience.

Thaslima joined AHP as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant in late 2023, shortly after graduating. With her employment at AHP, Thaslima now looks forward to furthering her architecture career by enhancing her knowledge and skills.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cities with her friends.
