1920's apartments refurbishment

London

client

London Borough of Camden

value

£2.4m

description

This project involved the complete strip out and internal reconfiguration of two Tudor-style mansion blocks, located within Highgate conservation area. The blocks were converted from outdated bedsit accommodation to modern, well-equipped flats.

The new accommodation comprises a mix of studio, one, two and three bed flats that achieve high standards of sound insulation and thermal efficiency. AHP also provided Ecohomes assessment services on this project which achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating at 62.1%.

Due to the imposing frontage and original 1920's features, we also worked closely with the borough conservation officers to ensure that the external repairs and renovation works retained the original character of these impressive three and four storey blocks.
