AHP were engaged as Lead Retrofit Designers for this decarbonisation project in Castle Bromwich, Birmingham for Equans.

The recently completed apartment blocks on Dreghorn Road are just two of seventeen low-rise apartment blocks to receive numerous retrofit solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions and improving thermal comfort. These solutions include the implementation of Wetherby Wall Systems external wall insulation (EWI), loft insulation, upgraded windows and doors, enhanced ventilation and airtightness, as well as solar PV battery storage.

Adopting the PAS 2035 specification framework for the energy retrofit of existing buildings, AHP developed a comprehensive design package in collaboration with Retrofit Coordinator EEC Energy Efficiency Consultants that emphasized the identification of unique and complex junction areas throughout the project.
