AHP were appointed as lead designers for the scheme which provided a further nine critical care beds on the St Peter's Hospital site. 

Extensive engineering services were co-ordinated within the design, and included a new external plant room to provide additional space for new ventilation plant and electrical services to support the highly serviced CCU.

The Phase 1 programme was completed in 16 weeks in May 2017.  Phase 2 of the project will see an upgrade to the original HDU ward.
