Ada National College for Digital Skills, named after Ada Lovelace, attributed to have written the first computer programme, opened the doors of its new campus in Tottenham Hale in September this year. This unique, modern space with a tech-spacial design, converted from a 1,600m2 two storey office building, is dedicated to the learning of digital skills for sixth form students through to higher apprenticeships.

AHP were appointed by the design and build contractor, liaising with various other consultants and disciplines, to realise the conceptual design and produce the working drawings for the building control and construction phases.

The key constraint on the project was an 11 week site programme, with no access for intrusive surveys in advance, resulting in extensive on-site design solutions and innovative programme sequencing to ensure that the scheme was delivered in time for the beginning of the September term.
