When do we collect information and how do we use it?

 

We do not collect pii (personally identifiable information) from you when you visit our site. 

Instead we use your IP address for use with Google Analytics as a tool for monitoring the traffic to our site.  This user information is compiled of:

 

·       Location – this is derived from the IP address where the hit originated. The IP address itself is not available in Google Analytics as it is personally identifiable information (PII) which violates the terms of Google Analytics

·       Language – derived from the language settings of the browser

 

Do we use 'cookies'?

 

Yes. Cookies are small files that our site transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables our site's systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We have a use of cookie statement on our site (located on the footer bar) which states that “AHP use cookies for analytical purposes only. We do not retain personal information for marketing or to share with third parties. To view our Privacy Policy, click here”

AHP Architects & Surveyors Ltd issue quarterly marketing newsletters and seasons greeting emails to clients and colleagues who have chosen to Opt In to this form of communication.  The email addresses for these individuals are contained within a password protected spreadsheet, which is only accessible by the company Directors and the Business Development Manager.
