Barnet General Hospital

The scheme includes two X-ray rooms with Chest X-ray Buckys and an OPG Dental X-ray, plus a Fluoroscopy Machine, Gamma Camera, and two CTs - one in the Emergency Department.

The project was phased to minimise disruption to the service and includes the provision of an external mobile CT unit. Each room must have its complex enabling works completed to dove-tail precisely with delivery of the specialist machines from abroad, with a small period of closing and snagging works post installation, all in time for commissioning and medical physics testing.

AHP were engaged to help develop the designs and provide full architectural and lead consultant services, coordinating with the users, M&E and Structural disciplines, specialist imaging equipment providers, the Contractor, and the Radiation Protection Advisor.
