AHP were appointed in 2015 as Architect and Lead Consultant on the Endoscopy Unit expansion scheme at Watford General Hospital.
The Trust required additional space in order to accommodate an increase in bowel screening activity, and by building onto the roof of the Princess Michael of Kent building, we were able to enhance the space available and deliver an extra 125m2.
April was Bowel Cancer Awareness month and, therefore, a fitting coincidence that the new unit was opened at the end of the month.
