With social media full of proud photos of little ones beginning their new terms, we thought we would share our educational news.
The former St John’s Primary School in Tunbridge Wells which dates back to 1892 has received planning permission this week to be sympathetically transformed into 3 luxury homes with off road parking. The scheme is the latest collaboration between AHP and Seely Developments, having previously delivered a bungalow scheme in Tonbridge.
The Victorian building will see much needed improvements to the existing structure, chimneys and brickwork and will retain original features including the ‘St John’s Girls School 1892 – In Memoriam’ stone, finials and roof tiles. Additions to the building include metal framed floor to ceiling windows, a new porch constructed with reclaimed brick from the demolished outbuildings and dormer windows.
Works are expected to begin on site in Autumn.
